‘Cryptoheroes’ Play-2-Earn RPG Now Live on NEAR
Cryptoheroes, a blockchain-based player-vs-environment (PvE) game, is now live on NEAR mainnet. Released by Pixel Dapps, a DAO-based blockchain gaming platform, Cryptoheroes is an RPG in which players enter dangerous dungeons, defeat evil minions, and gather loot to enhance their strength.
In Cryptoheroes, each player has three heroes to manage — a knight, a mage, and an assassin. Each hero can hold six items that include a weapon, hat, necklace, ring, armor, and shoes. The global inventory can contain up to 60 items.
To earn Pixeltokens, the in-game cryptocurrency, players can sell their collected items on the marketplace or reforge them to level up their existing gear. Each week, users can join 8-player teams to defeat additional evil bosses in epic battles, with the weekly top 20 raids earning PXT treasures for their efforts.
“Cryptoheroes gets the best of a Diablo-like item trading system and transforms it into a satisfying yet simple item gathering and levelling experience,” says the Cryptoheroes team.
Pixel Dapps launched its native token, Pixeltoken (PXT), on Skyward Finance on January 10th, 2022. A pre-launch presale held from December 20th, 2021 to January 17th, 2022 allowed Cryptoheroes players to acquire “lootboxes” containing up to 10 items and some PXT.
In other Cryptoheroes news, Ref Finance—the Automated Market Maker (AMM) DEX—will be providing a long-term trading pool for PXT-wNEAR. On January 28th, the Ref Finance team will create a farm in that pool for incentive liquidity.
